So, I kind of died for a while.  Depression got the better of me, and then I got a job.  Things are getting more stable, thankfully, and my mental space is a lot better now that I've got a job with wonderful coworkers, where I know that if I'm not well, my coworkers will look out for me.

It's comforting, and it's lovely, and for once, I have money.  I've been using it a little at a time, and now that I'm feeling better, I'm wanting to get back in and active here!

Especially since I got on today to check and make sure all of my character art credits on toyhouse were correct, and then saw some pretty cool shit. B]

I've been stiffed a few times on commissions by artists who disappear in a puff of smoke, only to be active elsewhere and ignore me.  Rather than get butthurt and harass them too mightily, I've simply decided that it would be best to ask artists if they're willing to work with me through a site that offers protection to both the artists and their clients.

Funny enough, it's called Artists&Clients.

It works like this:
The artist sets up slots of what they want to provide.
The client hits the commission button on the slots that interest them, and sends a message saying what they want.
The artist adjusts the price if needed, and then accepts the commission.
The client pays, but the artist doesn't get it yet.
The artist makes the art, and sends it through the site itself, checking a box that tells the site to watermark it.
Once it's finished, the client clicks the button that says 'complete'.
The site sends the payment goes to the artist.
The site makes the watermarks disappear.

Like this, if a client refuses to pay, they don't get unmarked art, and trust me, the watermark is kind of obnoxious, though you can still see the art through it.
If an artist doesn't deliver, they do not get the money, and the client can request from the site a refund.

It does take a fee, but it's relatively small.

Aaaah, so many nice raffles lately!  Of course I have to enter and share. <3 All of these are definitely worth the watch, too!
